The President of the Republic of Zambia Mr. Hakainde Hichilema called for the 14th Cabinet Meeting in the Year 2022, held on Friday, 22nd July, to discuss general policy and legislative issues.
The following are the issues deliberated upon by Cabinet:
1. The National Policy on Human Trafficking and Smuggling of Migrants.
In ensuring that Government programmes are well-coordinated on the issue of Human Trafficking and Smuggling of Migrants in the country and for Zambia to register itself in the region and internationally on such matters, Cabinet approved the Revised National Policy on Human Trafficking and Smuggling of Migrants and its Implementation Plan 2022 – 2026. It is in the interest of Government to enhance the country’s national policy framework in order to address the emerging and persistent challenges on human trafficking and smuggling of migrants…Download Full Statement here
